ABVP lays siege to Home Ministers house condemning Praveens murder
Condemning the killing of BJP Yuva Morcha leader of Dakshina Kannada district, Praveen Nettaru, ABVP workers laid siege to Home Minister Arag Gyanendra's residence in the city.
The ABVP activists reached the residence at Jayamahal in Bengaluru around 9.40 am and demanded the resignation of the Home Minister. The activists pushed the gate and broke the flower pots. As they tried to break the door of the Home Minister's house and enter, a tense atmosphere has been created in the place.
At this time, the Home Minister was not in residence. On this occasion, a war of words took place between the police and activists. For a moment, the police found it difficult to control more than 50 activists. The police came to the spot and took all the activists into custody. Police resorted to light lathi charge to control the beleaguered ABVP workers. Later the protester was taken into custody by the police. At present, tight police security has been provided around the residence.
